Teenage Volunteers

For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve
and to give His life as a ransom for many.
Mark 10:45

The ministry of Camp Kanesatake is made possible by the countless hours of volunteer service each summer.  Teen volunteers have a unique opportunity to get a taste of the real staff experience at camp, including schedules, duties, and activities.  This learning and growth all take place while living amongst and serving alongside the summer staff members.

To assist our volunteers in obtaining the fullest experience possible at camp and to further convey an adequate understanding of the ministry, goals, and expectations, all teen volunteers (Kitchen, Maintenance, or Program) must fill out a Teen Volunteer Application and attend a spring training weekend.  Successful completion of the training is a prerequisite for serving up to 2 weeks as a teen volunteer during the summer.

Kitchen volunteers - minimum age 14
Maintenance volunteers - minimum age 15
Program Assistants - minimum age 15 or 14 with experience working with children and prior camp attendance
